Cashier drawer sessions · float → reconcile → Z-report

What are Cash Shifts?
Each cashier opens a drawer with a float, takes payments and cash drops, then counts the cash and locks a Z-report. The over/short variance posts to the GL. Day Close is blocked until every shift is locked.
